Grabango Wins Best Enterprise Edge AI Product at Embedded Vision Summit
On May 17, Grabango was named the Best Enterprise Edge AI End Product at the Edge AI and Vision Product of the Year awards ceremony, part of the Embedded Vision Summit. The award recognizes the innovations and achievements associated with a product that uses AI and vision technologies.
Since 2016, Grabango’s mission has been to eliminate lines and save people time by bringing its checkout-free technology to stores where people already shop. The system uses advanced machine learning and computer vision algorithms, running on fault-tolerant edge hardware, to deliver very high accuracy results at a low cost. These powerful tools fundamentally shift the economics of retailing and forever change the way people interact with things.
Grabango’s technology is pure computer vision (CV), based on machine learning (ML) with targeted retrainings (AI), and has been installed in dozens of stores, across seven brands, in five metro markets (Pittsburgh, PA; SF Bay Area, CA; Tucson, AZ; Nashville, TN; Chicago, IL). Combined, the company’s partners represent over 200 million square feet of retail space, and each generates $1 billion or more in annual revenue.
“Grabango is honored to be recognized as the 2022 Edge AI and Vision Product of the Year for Best Enterprise Product,” said Will Glaser, founder and CEO of Grabango. “Our technology is easy to use, easy to operate and will soon be essential to compete in 21st-century brick and mortar grocery. This award is a result of the work of our team of outstanding builders.”
The Edge AI and Vision Product of the Year award was selected based on the product’s innovation, differentiation, consumer impact and market impact. The award ceremony took place during the Embedded Vision Summit where Will Glaser was also offered the opportunity to speak. Glaser led a session called “The Future of Retail is Here, and It’s Powered by Embedded Computer Vision.”
